Hells Angels Sonoma = life

HA Jonathan Nelson, Brian Wayne Wendt and Russell Taylor Ott were sentenced in U.S. Federal Court in San Francisco to life. The 3 bikers received life for their roles in the murder of Joel Silva, a Hells Angels sergeant-at-arms who disappeared 10 years ago. Silva was shot in the back of the head by Wendt and cremated.

Raymond ‘Ray Ray’ Foakes
HA Raymond ‘Ray Ray’ Foakes and HA Christopher ‘Rain Man’ Ranieri were convicted. Foakes was convicted of racketeering conspiracy, assault with a deadly weapon and witness intimidation. He bought 30 years.  Ranieri was convicted of murder conspiracy and racketeering. He bought life. It was a nearly identical trial to the 2022 RICO trial that put Russell ‘Rusty’ Ott, Jonathan ‘Jon Jon’ Nelson, and Brian Wayne Wendt away.

A prospect for the Sonoma Hells Angels lived a double life as an FBI rat. He, along with two former HA, were the most important of dozens of government witnesses in the trial.

The first two government witnesses were victims of beatdowns.
Defense lawyers called it an “unholy alliance” between “shady, disreputable hooligans” and cops desperate to take down the HAMC.

5 years ago the FBI busted nearly a dozen HA on charges of murder of their own. 3 of the defendants, including presidents in Fresno and Sonoma, were found guilty. Jonathan Nelson, Russell Ott, and Brian Wendt violated the federal RICO Act with their involvement in the HAMC. They lured Joel Silva to his execution. Silva binged on drugs, was unpredictable, and attacked HA guests. He sealed his fate by threatening to kill a Hells Angel named Sweeney, who was close to Boston/Salem president Ranieri.
