‘Blood Family Mafia’ at war with HAMC – update II

Roobens Denis, 31, was busted in Portugal after being on the lam since a July 2023 drug bust. He was the right-hand man of the leader of the Blood Family Mafia, Dave Turmel. 18 have been arrested in a large-scale operation targeting organized crime in Quebec City.

Julien Leguédard, 18, appeared by videoconference after being arrested in Ontario. Leguédard allegedly kidnapped Michael Chouinard, 28, and mutilated him by cutting off fingers and toes. Chouinard was then dumped in the middle of downtown Montreal with significant injuries.

Raids targeted those involved in the conflict between the ‘Blood Family Mafia’ (BFM) and the Hells Angels. BFM is believed to have kidnapped several drug dealers linked to the HA. They are tortured and mutilated. Local media reports allege that a man’s toes and fingers had been cut off. The BFM is led by Dave Turmel, 27, who is currently on the run and thought to be in Europe. In May 2014 Dave ‘Pic’ Turmel argued with friends during an outing to the bar and stabbed two of them. He was busted and sentenced to 3 years in the pen. Guards seized a blunt object from him, a homemade pick.

Pic refused to pay tax to his drug supplier Mathieu Pelletier, a Hells Angel and son of one of the founders of the Quebec City chapter, Marc Pelletier. The die was cast.
In 2018, he was arrested for threatening a man with a baseball bat. In March 2019, Pic returned to prison after being arrested with a loaded .45. He was released after 12 months. Mathieu Pelletier
The conflict is over the 10% cut drug traffickers normally pay the HA to sell in Quebec City. The BFM has refused to pay street tax for months. Its said the Hells had even been in contact with cops, warning them to act otherwise the club would move in and deal with the BFM. Cops say street gangs in Quebec are becoming a problem, partially due to their lack of respect for the bikers and established organized crime networks. They say the BFM’s recent violent tactics are borrowed from drug cartels in Central America.
In March 2023, Mathieu Pelletier’s residence was shot up. Then Dark Souls MC Dominic ‘Fou Furieux’ Simard’s car that was set on fire. After that 2 businesses in Beauce were burnt to the ground. Both were related to the Hells Angels. Marc Pelletier
The murder on  November 27th, 2023 of Michel ‘Doune’ Guerin, 57, was a turning point. Guérin was tasked with resolving conflicts concerning sales territories and to recover the cuts owed to the HAMC. His murder was a statement of revolt by street gangsters. The aging Hells Angels of the Quebec chapter have proven unable to react to the affront. The Quebec chapter is rife with old fathers and young sons, uncles and cousins. The chapter has been called the ‘family business’ by the media. Membership is not based on merit and over time the chapter has become progressively weak and unable to hold its territory.  There is also a lack of replacements in the ranks of the farm teams of the HAMC willing to do the dirty business, informants note. The Hells are no longer respected in Quebec City and that, in the end, is why there is a revolt against their iron rule of the drug trade.
